Founded in 1974, the Staunton Waynesboro Augusta Tennis Association (SWAT) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) foundation - chartered Community Tennis Association that promotes tennis-related events for players of all ages and abilities in Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County, Virginia.

Tennis Instruction

SWAT offers low-cost tennis instruction to the community through its Youth Tennis Camp and Junior Tennis League for young players and Tuesday Night Tennis for adult players.

SWAT Youth Tennis Camp

Get your child playing tennis this summer! SWAT is once again offering a summer tennis camp for youth ages 6 to 18 years old. This two-week tennis camp runs Monday-Friday at Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro and Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton. Campers will receive quality instruction and play and have lots of fun!!! Staff includes experienced tennis instructors serving as site directors along with trained high school/college aged assistant instructors.

Waynesboro: June 3 – June 14, 2019 

Staunton: June 17 – June 28, 2019

Tuesday Night Tennis (TNT)

Tuesday Night Tennis (TNT) features one hour of group instruction by local tennis professionals for beginner and intermediate level adult tennis players followed by one hour of round-robin doubles play. This year's TNT will be held on the tennis courts at Mary Baldwin University. Participation in TNT is FREE for SWAT members and $5 per night for non-members. No registration is necessary.
